And so it went to the shop where they changed oil and installed a new filter. A note on the invoice said, "Oil light will stop blinking in 3 hrs."

Pick up 3 quarts of Mobil 5w-50 at your local NAPA and be done with it. Newer models of the XT1 LT46 have the Tuff Torq LT200, and it specifies the same oil.
